RADIOPATEL The game is not in blaming the radio for noise, game is doing all efforts to reduce the noise. Dinesh Patel VU2DCI |
W2GQQ Andersen Greig W2GQQBy: K1XV I
only met Greig within the last year or so on the morning net on 3834.
He would always check in with a hearty "GOOD MORNING! GOOD MORNING! GOOD
MORNING! While Greig's voice sounded like that of a 110 year old, his
mind was that of a man of 60. Born in this country, he grew up in
Norway, and returned to the USA as a young adult. As a result, he had a
charming light Norwegian accent.
I understand Greig passed at the age of 96. His was quite vigorous right up to the end. His long and good life should be celebrated. We will all miss him very much. |
Aland Island at night Aland Island at nightHere's
a night shot of the Aland Island operation of OH0W. The shack is on
top of a rocky hill, a hundred meters or so from the ocean where the
weather can be very rough and windy. At one time the site had ten
towers; now there are just two or three. The QTH is reached by ferry,
and with a car it takes 4-5 hours from Helsinki (the ferry trip
included).

To build the largest and most complete Amateur Radio community site on the Internet - a "portal" that hams think of as the first place to go for information, to exchange ideas, and be part of what’s happening with ham radio on the Internet. eHam.net provides recognition and enjoyment to the people who use, contribute, and build the site. This project involves a management team of volunteers who each take a topic of interest and manage it with passion. The site will stand above all other ham radio sites by employing the latest technology and professional design/programming standards, developed by a team of community programmers who contribute their skills to the effort. The site will be something of which everyone involved can be proud to say they were a part. The eHam.net Team, Revision 07/2020. |
